This is very creative idea of Vidya Bharti to provide the real education to the society. The Vidya Bharti is committed to make the children of this nation responsible and social. In this regard the local people from Mandi Dabwali under the guidance of Prof. Kailash Bhasin decided to open such a school which can fulfill the goal of Vidya Bharti. So in 1990 Saraswati Vidya Mandir has been started in a temporary site. Sh. Ganpat Rai was a founder Chairman of the school managing committee. For the construction of the school building the many people from the locality donate money. On 23rd Dec, 1995 we lost a very dedicated personality Sh. Ashok Wadhera in a tragedy in Mandi Dabwali after saving the lives of so many children and people. He played a very important role to make this school a hub of good education. Indian Govt. has honored him with Rashtrya Yuva Purskar. The people of community have decided to change the name of the school to Shaheed Ashok Wadhera Saraswati Vidya Mandir. After that in 1998 with the blessing of local community the school got affiliated to CBSE New Delhi vide Affliation No. 530267. Now the school has two wings one is Shishu Vatika and another is the Sen.Sec. Wing. Now it has 4 acres green campus with 200mts track. This time the school is running classes up to 10+2 with all streams. D.R. Sharma is a Principal from Himachal Pradesh with 47 teaching and non teaching faculty. The school has 12 rooms in Shishu Vatika Play School and 28 rooms in Sen. Sec. Wing and 25*66 ft hall. The school is now well furnished with computer lab, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Mathematics Labs. Also it has 200mtrs track and other sports grounds and fields. The Vidya Bharti framed a Local School Manging Committee as per the direction of CBSE. Sh. Om Parkash Dhamija is the Chairman and Sh. Amritpal is the Manager of the committee. It is envisaged that there will be further developments over time to fulfill the needs of the local community. The school celebrates Ashoks life as a SAMARPAN DIWAS on 12th Feb every year to keep in light the efforts of Shaheed Ashok Wadhera.
